So last weekend we decided kind of last minute to go camping. We realized that summer is going to be over before we know it and we haven't really done anything yet. One of our friends was telling us about a state park that is only about an hour away. You can camp right on the bay and go fishing. So of course, Wuilman was all for that. So it was around 6:30 p.m., so we went home threw some pjs and clothes in a bag, went to Walmart to load up the cooler, and buy a tent. (This is our first Texas camping trip) :) So we got there around 9:30 p.m. and it was SO SO SOOOO windy! It was super hard to set up our tent, but we finally got it. Krissi was pretty good hanging out in her little chair while we set up camp. As you can see, she figured out if she pulls out one end of the arch she can actually reach the turtles!

This is me and the girls waiting for Papa to finish cooking our hot dogs! It was so windy all night long, I don't know how anybody got any sleep. One time I woke up and Wuilman had his leg in the air trying to hold the tent up! We survived anyway.

This was right out the front door of our tent. We had bought Talia a little Dora fishing pole that has a bobber and a little rubber fish on the end of the line. You can really cast it and reel it in, but Talia did not like seeing her fish really going in the water. You can kind of see her put her hands up in protest as she thinks Papa has lost her fish for good.

The rest of the morning she wouldn't let her fishing pole out of her sight!

After breakfast we walked down to a pier they have to go fishing. We don't have a picture of Wuilman and I fishing, but here is one of Talia again. She would throw her line over the edge, but not far enough to get in the water. She would then pull it up and say, "Mama, I got a fish! A pink one!" She continued to do this for about an hour! She really enjoyed that part. She caught the most fish though. Wuilman and I didn't catch anything, but I'm not complaining :) Krissi is asleep with that pink blanket over her chair.

By lunch time it was too hot for clothes, not that we had any clean ones anyway.

Talia has a blast with bubbles, but what kid doesn't?

This is our little campground. It was pretty nice. Each space has one of these with a picnic table, grill and a fresh water spout. You can see how close we were to the actual bay in the background. We had our tent set up in front of the cover, but we had already taken it down.

As Wuilmand I were packing up, we left it up to Talia to try and map our way home. Here she is trying to explain the map to Krissi.

Krissi is looking with real interest.

This is the typical Krissi face. If you knew her you would understand. She can be super happy and then all of a sudden you see this face and the tears just start coming. All in all it was super fun and we can't wait to go back, but we will definately check the weather first. It wasn't the same as Idaho mountain camping, but we still came home dirty and isn't that the point of camping anyway?

We went to a Friend's wedding this past weekend where Wuilman was one of the best men. After the reception was coming to an end and the band had left. Wuilman went to say goodbye to the groom and I look up and he and Wuilman are on the stage and request a song from the DJ and just start singing and dancing. It was hilarious! The picture didn't turn out very good because I was holding Krissi, who was crying, and I couldn't get too close.

These two are of Talia dancing with the groom's little brother. I don't know exactly how that happend, but when someone comes to talk to her, she usually just grabs their hands and starts dancing. He was a good sport though and spun her around a couple of time.

This was before the reception really got started so after a minute they needed him to go take more pictures. Talia came running to me crying big alligator tears that he was gone. She has seen all the fairy tales, so I guess she knows every princess needs a prince!

This is Talia with the Bride, Jessica. Everytime Talia would see her all night, she would just stare in awe and say, "Beautiful dress"

This is Wuilman with the other best men.

The reception was out on a ranch so they had some goats that Talia thought were pretty cool. She was feeding them and getting her shoes all dusty.

This is my pretty blue eyed baby.

This is my almost three year old who got super bored during the actual ceremony.

Wuilman and my pretty girls. You know I should be in this picture. I WAS actually at the wedding, but somehow I didn't end up in any of the pictures. I was in the bathroom fixing my slip when they took this.

Talia and her Papa prince. As soon as Wuilman brought his tuxedo home, Talia kept calling him Papa prince.

Lots of kisses at my house
Look my eyes are still blue!

These are just a couple pics for Grandma and Grandpa to see how my baby girls are growing!

This summer we have had a lot of "Venezuelan Barbeques" at our house. Wuilman has a friend who was playing for the minor league baseball team here so he and his wife came over to cook. It was nice because I didn't have to cook anything, since I was the only non-venezuelan there :) Luckily there have been a couple night that haven't been too humid so we would stay outside all evening and cook and play dominoes.

One night they made a soup, that for some reason has to be done outside and can't be cooked inside on the stove. So anyway, this is the contraption they made to cook it. They are so proud, can't you tell. They had music blasting too, so that's why Paul has the maracas!
This is Talia dancing with Paul. We think she has a little crush on him, she just loves him and climbs all over him when he is here. She always pretends to call him on her phones, it's too cute.

This is Talia eating the staple of the Venezuelan diet, an arepa. It kind of reminds me of a pita pocket that is made out of a corn flour. You are supposed to cut it open and fill it with anything you want. Talia likes them plain.

More dancing!

This is Krissi hanging out in the hammock after she fell asleep. We have a picture of Talia like this when she was about one year old when we were actually in Venezuela.

We were able to go to Disney on Ice a couple weekends ago. As soon as we walked in, Talia was just in awe! She loved all the characters. We ended up buying her a little Ariel figurine, and when "The Little Mermaid" show came on, she held up her toy and was yelling, "Look, Ariel it's you!" It was so cute. Every time Mickey mouse came in, she would wave frantically and yell, "Hi Mouse! Hi Mouse!" I learned that's why they have the music so loud, so everyone doesn't have to hear your children yelling in excitement.

This is the peter pan alligator who eats Captain hook!

Memorial weekend we bought this little pool for Talia. She loves it and spends most afternoons outside now.

Luckily our dog leaves it alone and doesn't chew on it.

This was the work of her father one day before we went to a baseball game, just thought I would throw it in!
