Kristina (Krissi) Kathryn Rodriguez, finally decided to join us in this world Saturday, March 21st at 3:10 a.m. She was 9 pounds 15 ounces, yes almost 10 pounds and 22 inches. She is a big girl no doubt about it. I don't know how this almost 2-foot baby lived inside of me for so long. How I survived the delivery I'm not sure, but I did it without having a C-section.

This is Talia wearing her "Big Sister" t-shirt holding her baby sister for the first time. So far she is a big helper. She is super noisy but it doesn't seem to bother Krissi too much. She can sleep through anything.

Since Krissi is a March baby, I thought it would be cute to take her picture in this St. Patty's day hat. Aunt Jorrie made the cute headband to go with it. We took these pictures after the hospital's photographer took her pictures in a little dress, but we thought these ones were cuter.

So overall we are all doing pretty well. Krissi is a pretty good sleeper and eater. She, just like most babies like to take her "long" naps during the day instead of at night time. I am just a little sore and a little tired, but having my mom here is a big help. I just wanted to give a little update to everyone!

I don't know who really wants to read this, but I just would like to vent so here it goes. Ok, so I went to the Dr. yesterday. I had my sonogram, and the baby is about 8 pounds 4 oz, so that's not really that big. I know they can be wrong a pound either way, but if it is at least close I think I can handle that. So a c-section won't be necessary so there is one fear of mine put to rest. But of course my Dr. is out of this week so I was seeing a new DR. Well I heard his schedule 3 inductions while I was in the office. I guess because he has all his patients plus my Dr's his schedule is full. He thought he could induce me on Friday, but turns out he is full till Monday. MONDAY! Are you kidding me!? I am dying here. What am I supposed to do till Monday? So I am sure hoping that if I can just take a lot of long walks that I can start by myself here any day. We'll see. I was having some contractions last night, but nothing really intense. I guess my belly makes a super great home because this baby never wants to leave!!!

So here is a picture finally, for anyone who really cared :) If I look like I just woke up from a nap, I did. So I went to the Dr. yesterday and I am only dilated at a 2! I have been a 1 1/2 for the past 3 weeks, but still not much of an improvement. He said that the baby is still up pretty high, as you can see. So he wants to induce me. He offered to induce me last night, but I asked him if I could wait for my mom to come on Tuesday. He agreed, but said I need to get an ultrasound to see exactly how big the baby is, because he said this one is definately bigger than Talia (7 1/2 pounds). So since I've been home and thinking about it, I have been going crazy wondering why he really needs to know how big the baby is unless he thinks she is so big that I will need a c-section. I really hope that isn't necessary, but I guess we'll have to wait and see. So I go in on Tuesday for the ultrasound and appointment, and if nothing has happened they will probably induce me that day or the next. They were going to induce me with Talia also, but the night before I was supposed to go in, my body went into labor by itself. I really hope that happens again. I have heard such horror stories about women who have been induced! Either way, I can't wait to bring my new little baby home!

Well Talia is in the stage of being a princess and I have been wanting to get her some dress-up stuff for a while, but I just haven't. Usually, her princess atire includes just wrapping one of her blankets around herself like a dress. I was going through some old stuff and found an old swimming suit. Talia gasped and said, "Mama, princess!" I didn't really want her to wander around the house in that, so I had to really look around and what else I had that she would think was better than a swimsuit. My mom had bought me this kind of maternity shirt when I was pregnant with Talia, but I've never worn it. (Sorry mom) It has beads and sequence on the neckline and along the wrists and comes with a belt with the same stuff. So as you can see, I put it on her, tied an old scarf around her waist to keep it up, and the used the belt as the "princess hat." She wouldn't take it off for the rest of the day!

It is so fun to see her use her imagination as she gets older. Her new favorite thing is to pretend she is different animals or people. All day long she kept telling me, "Mama, it's me Princess"

Then the next day, I went to the grocery store and they had all the dress-up on clearance! Now I had no exscuse. So I finally gave in and bought her a princess dress. She already had the crown and high-heeled shoes thanks to aunt Angie. As soon as she put this outfit on she told me, "Mama, it's me, princess "I know you!"" and she would hold up her skirt and twirl around. Princess "I know you" for those of you who may not know, is Sleeping Beauty. Take yourselves back to the movie, that is the song she sings about the prince. "I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream......." Anyway, that's all she knows. She doesn't say sleeping beauty or rose or aurora. She just calls her, "I know you. So all day long she was princess "I know you."

By the end of the day, the little lace layer was already coming off the bottom, oh well.

I've been meaning to blog for a while, but just haven't, no exscuses here really. I have really been wanting to put up a picture of my belly. But I didn't want to put up a picture of me in my sweats. So every time I go to the dr, and actually get dressed I have been meaning to take a picture, but I never seem to get around to it, before I change back into my sweats! As you san see according to my counter, I should be getting super close right? Well that has my due date as the 15th, but my Dr. said my due date was actually probably closer to the 20th. I didn't believe him and have kept in my head the 15th! Well there has been no change in the last 3 weeks, so I guess I have to stick it out an extra 5 days!!!! Grrrr! I have another appointment on Thursday, so I guess we'll see if there is any news. Maybe I'll get a belly picture up then, but don't hold your breath!
